Background
Duc Tran obtained his Ph.D. degree in Civil Engineering at the University of Virginia, working under the supervision of Prof. Venkataraman Lakshmi. His research integrates climate science, hydrology, remote sensing, and machine learning to address critical challenges in water resources and food production systems.
Current Position
ORISE Fellow (Starting January 2026)
U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service (ARS)
Focus: National Agroecosystem Model (NAM) for the continental U.S. to address sustainability
of water resources and food production systems across the western United States.
